Day 8 (26.01.12) - Mount Kilimanjaro Challenge - Lucy Reaches The Summit
Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 11:28AM We have had word from the organisers that Lucy and the rest of the team have made it successfully to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. An amazing achievement!
In the last contact we had from Lucy she described how the altitude was really affecting her now and she was very scared about the thought of climbing the final 6 hours to the summit in darkness.
She has powered through and reached the top in time to watch the sunrise from 19,341ft (5895m).
Well done Lucy we are all very proud of you!
Updates will continue as she makes her way back to the base camp.
