Minimum Wage Changes 2017

Following its Introduction in April 2016, The National Living Wage is set to increase, with the National Minimum Wage also seeing a 4% increase in April 2017.

 

The hourly rate for the minimum wage depends on your age and whether or not you are an apprentice.

 

You can see a full breakdown of the current wage rates here as well as those coming into play in April.

 

*Apprentices are entitled to the apprentice rate if they’re either:

 

·         Aged 19 or under

·         Aged 19 or over and are still in the first year of their apprenticeship

 

Apprentices are entitled to the minimum wage for their age if they are:

 

·         Above the age of 19

·         Have completed the first year of their apprenticeship
