Practical Guide to changes in the Employment Tribunal system    


As a client of HPC it is important that you do not panic by the recent ruling from the Supreme court to immediately remove fees for Employment Tribunal claims.  We do anticipate there will be a rise in claims over the coming months and as such we want to remind you of the services that you are provided at HPC;


  • As part of your service we keep all of your HR documentation up to date, so please ensure that you have the most up to date version of your handbook visible to your people.
  • Has everyone in your business been issued a contract of employment?  If not, then please contact the team immediately.
  • Have you notified us of any recent exits within your business?  Please remember that if you have taken out our legal expenses protection then you must notify the team of any potential issues that may result in a termination of an employee.
  • You have unlimited advice line support, so please email or call for any HR related matter, no matter how silly you may think the question is, it won’t be to us and we are here to help.  


If you do not have our legal expenses cover and would like the peace of mind that any claim will be covered by this (provided you follow our advice), then contact your Account Manager and they will arrange this upgrade for you.
